My sincere thanks .... for another most fulfilling week of inspiring, noteworthy presentations and meetings with enthusiastic colleagues. I brought back a couple of realistic ideas to implement in my classes – and look forward to being, hopefully, a little bit better at what I do...... I understand a little of how unrelentingly demanding putting all the details of such conferences can be. It is such a pleasure to watch you both be so completely involved in making sure that everything works just perfectly. I think Paul’s comment was that much of this is “invisible” to the attendees, getting the benefit of it all coming together so well – as it should be, yet, invisible or not, those of us with any sense certainly understand how committed you both are, and how hard you work to make a great conference better every year.

The main strength of this conference is its focus on the classroom. I always find great ideas for innovations, and I leave the conference energized to try them.

Content -- maybe has been my favorite conference in last 20 years. The organization and manner [in which] the conference was run was great. First -- the notebooks and information supplied was very helpful. Plus -- how the conference was run was fabulous -- keeping things moving, the bell was delightful -- and the friendliness of the organizers made the conference aces!

[The Stemkoski] presentation had a major impact on my teaching this last year as the impetus for a radical overhaul of our advanced management accounting course.... Overall, it was a very successful experience....

The colloquium was excellent. ... All of the details you thought of made it so much more personal than most conferences ( weather report, extra paper for notes, the entire notebook, Yoga, cookies and milk, excellent choice of food, shorter sessions, etc.).

I had been told that this was a great conference and now I can tell others the same thing. There was not a single session where I didn't get a good idea to take back with me.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Colloquium! One never knows what to expect when an event is conducted for the first time, but I must say that I was pleasantly surprised; the Colloquium far exceeded my expectations! The speakers were informative, and the atmosphere was relaxed and quite conducive to learning. I enjoyed the opportunity to visit with colleagues that I had not seen recently, as well as the opprtunity to make new acquaintances. I was co-program coordinator for the Southeast regional in 1997, and unfortunately, I know all too well what is involved with running a successful meeting. You are to be commended!
